UncategorizedFor some hours I was sobbing

March 28, 2024by Jill Douka

The past 2 weeks have been really tough for me. On Sunday I sprained my leg badly and on Tuesday I was supposed to travel to London for a training I have been wanting to do for the past 17 years. Needless to say everything was canceled. I was devastated. For some hours.

I bounced back the next day. Started appreciating my great (overall) health. The fact that my team was taking great care of our clients. The fact that Joy is happy and healthy. The fact that my house is so beautiful. Without being able to move (just going to the bathroom was an adventure) I spent time with Luna, our dog. I never actually had time to really play with her. I had the time to appreciate everyone who supported me. It was beautiful.

And as I was healing, just a week after my leg accident I got amygdalitis.

For 3 days I could not speak. I could only communicate in writing. It was brutal.

It was a big holiday in Greece on Ash Monday, a day when we fly a kite.

On Ash Monday I went to the hospital, was diagnosed with amygdalitis and then, without being able to walk or talk we went with a friend and Joy flew her kite. I was sitting on a bench about to faint as I had a high fever, but my heart was warm. Joy was so happy. I just did my best to build the experience for her and not ruin the day. When we came back home, I slept for 4 hours straight.

I know you have been through challenges. I know this because you are a high achiever and you want MORE every day for yourself.  As I sit down to write to you today, my heart is brimming with a message that feels both urgent and empowering. It’s a call to arms, a beacon of hope, and a reminder of the incredible strength that resides within us as women. It’s about **embracing the power of women’s empowerment**. 💃💁‍♀️

In a world teeming with possibilities, it’s easy to find ourselves at the crossroads of dreams and doubt. There are moments when fear whispers louder than our ambitions, trying to anchor us in a sea of self-doubt. But, beautiful friend, it’s precisely in these moments that our true power emerges.

**Feeling the fear and stepping forward anyway** is not just an act of courage; it’s an act of liberation. 🚀

💥 **To the women who dream:** to those who stand on the edge of tomorrow with a heart full of dreams and a spirit ready to soar. To you who dare to take that leap of faith, even as your heart quivers with uncertainty. This is your moment. 💥

The journey beyond our comfort zones is where the magic unfolds. It’s where we become beacons of inspiration, igniting a chain reaction of empowerment and positivity that ripples through the fabric of our world. 🌊✨

I’m reaching out to you, my incredible friends, to stand tall in the face of uncertainty, to embrace risk with open arms, and to never underestimate the well of strength that lies within you. 🌈 You are formidable, resilient, and destined for greatness.

And as we navigate this journey, let’s lock arms and lift each other higher. Tag a friend who embodies strength and courage, someone you admire, as a reminder that we’re all in this together.

**Together, we can dismantle barriers, shatter stereotypes, and redefine the essence of womanhood in today’s society.** 💃🌍 Let’s weave a tapestry of empowerment that blankets the world, proving that when women support women, incredible things happen.

Here’s to the fearless, to the dreamers, to the trailblazers. Here’s to YOU.

If you want to take your life to the next level, then I invite you to work with me in the most affordable way.

Keep Thriving my beautiful friend!
