Who has all the right answers for your life?
How can you discover your inner truth?
What will motivate you to embrace change?
“Judge a man by his questions rather than his answers,” Voltaire said. And this is particularly true when it comes to life coaching!
So coaching is based on powerful questions.
Each person keeps all the right answers within. A coach’s job isn’t to point out the correct answers, rather than to do powerful questions that will bring on all the answers. Just like the maieutic method of Socrates, that’s used when a new idea is born from another, our coachees in Plano come before great self-discoveries that change their life (find more about our revolutionary program here: https://www.jillandnikolas.com/toplano.html)
We know what is right for us, but when it doesn’t come from within, we’re never going to change it. The only way to change something is if we have already convinced ourselves that it’s essential
to change it. An hour of coaching can save us a year of trying to find answers in the wrong place that is outside ourselves. No external factor, no matter how satisfying, can fill this gap for us.
To sum up:
- Powerful questioning isn’t small talk.
- Powerful questioning makes the coachee start thinking of different ways of realizing things.
- Powerful questioning creates profound knowledge of ourselves, our environment, and the people that we interact with.
It’s vital to feel first and to understand our priorities motivated by self-awareness and empathy. And powerful questioning combines both!
